Wake up call to INDIAN ARMY

Sequence of Leader of US army are Defence Secretary, Chief of Army Staff, Under Secretary, Vice Chief of Army Staff and Sergeant Major of the Army. We are importing US weapons, equipment and plane and showing to our country as achievement but we are not re-structuring our Army in line of US Army with vested interest of Military officers. Sergeant Major of US Army has 5th position in the leaderships of the Army. He sit on a wide variety of council and board that make decision affecting enlisted soldiers and their family and is routinely invited to testify before the Congress. He is personal advisor to COAS on all enlisted related matter particularly in the area of soldier training and quality of life. Our India Army present structure was framed by Britisher to rule India. Britisher framed various rule to demoralise Indian soldier like polishing the boot of officers and their family. About one lakhs soldiers are employed as personal servant of officers & their family. Officers and jawans of US Army eat together in one mess. There is no separate mess and meal for officers and jawans whereas in Indian Separate mess, meals and scale are for officers, JCO and Jawan in peace area and field area. Other various discrimination like :-
Variation in Basic Pay is accepted.
(a) Rank pay is applicable to officers only not for JCO and jawans.
(b) Military pay of officers is Rs. 6000/- whereas below officers rank is Rs. 2000/-
(c) Jawan and officer Junps from same plane whereas parachute pay for officers are much higher than the jawan.
(d) Every allowance ie Siachene glacier allowances, Counter Insurgency allowance, high altitude allowance, various field allowances, foreign allowances to officers are much higher than the jawans.
(e) an officer having 30000 basic pay/pension get 27 thousand as dearness allowance whereas a jawan having 6 thousand basic pay get 5400/- when da was below100%, whereas petrol, diesel,vegetable etc are sold in same rate to officers and jawan. Hence, there is no affect of inflation to officer. It is violation of article 14 of constitution of India.
(f) 100% officer family and separated accommodation for officers. They also live with family in Siachene Glacier, with international border and counter Insurgency area whereas such facility is not applicable to jawans In School which is run by the Army priority for employment of teachers are given to officer's wife.
(g) At least one lakh jawan are employed at as officers personal servant at officer private and government resident. He has also polish the boot of officer and jawans. No such system degrading and demoralise jawans exists in any country.
(h) JCOs/OR and ex-servicemen of these categories contribute 90% of total canteen profit. But 50% of canteen profit goes to officers mess. Turnover of canteen of armed forces About 500 crores. Govt should utilize these fund for opening of Medical colleges/engineering college/professional college to educate children of JCOrs/OR and Ex-servicemen of these categories free of cost.
(j) Every post of welfare of Serving JCO/OR and ex-servicemen are hold by officers only. Top posts of sainik department of all political party are held by officers only.
(k) Various other discrimination. Space is less to write. It will come through book.

Hence, this is high time for citizen, ex-servicemen and politician to rise
for re-structuring of our army in the line of modern American Army in the national interest and justice to the jawans. There is also need to raise a national organisation for JCOs.OR only

Seventh Pay Commission is undertaking an online survey for inputs and opinions for its report. The survey is open to all individuals and groups. The link to the survey is on the commission official website. It has 15 sections each having several questions.

Section 8 pertains only to the defence forces. It seeks opinions on pay structure, parity with civil services, rationalisation of allowances, pension and benefits to war widows and disabled soldiers.

It would be in the interests of the defence forces to participate in the survey extensively and project their aspirations, views and requirements.

Answering questions in all sections is mandatory though, along with your brief details. This survey is different from the study on pay commission inputs by CDM Sec'bad.
